New TwentySomething Therapy Support Group For Women Starting!

2o Something flyerIn the 38 years, I have been in practice I have always run therapy groups.  They have proven to be one of the most powerful tools for people who are looking for connection and help to make a permanent and profound change in their lives. My next “Twenty Something Women’s Therapy Group” promises to do just that!

Imagine a place you know you can come every week and be your most authentic and vulnerable self…and leave feeling like you got your cup filled up rather than drained!  Group members have often said that this is a place they come knowing they will always get honest and supportive and caring feedback.

When you go talk to friends and family, it is easy to feel like you are “too much” and people are getting tired of you.  Maybe.  But more likely they really don’t know what to do to help you.  They may have given some advice and support but then don’t know how to go any farther.

In a group, you have me facilitating and helping everyone learn healthy ways to ask for what they need and want as well as help learning what to give to others, and how, to be most effective and respectful.  It is a safe place where everyone is coming for the same reasons:  to be seen and heard, to learn new ways to care about self and others, to learn to set healthy boundaries in all areas fo your life. to figure out who YOU really are and what YOU really need and finally to be moderate and stable.

The main goal is to figure out How To Be The Best Person YOU Want To Be…and be that.

Putting together wonderful group skills and Pia Mellody’s model for treating Developmental Immaturity (Codependency) creates a place to heal and develop your functional adult so you don’t feel as overwhelmed and vulnerable in your life.

Beginning November 2018, we will begin a new  TwentySomething Therapy Support Group on Wednesday evenings between 5-7 p.m.  This group requires an initial commitment of 10 weeks and is open-ended as we continue to work through childhood trauma and find a comfortable path toward recovery.
